Celebrating 35 Years in the New River Valley

The Blacksburg Master Chorale (BMC) is a diverse community organization based in Blacksburg, VA that welcomes singers 18 and over who want to have fun, sing, perform contemporary and classical pieces (and the occasional commissioned piece or local composition), and participate in the local arts community. We were established in 1987 and have been singing with 80-100 active singer members ever since!

Under the baton of Music Director Dr. Dwight Bigler, the BMC performs 3-4 major concerts per year at venues including the Moss Arts Center at Virginia Tech, the Blacksburg Presbyterian Church, and other concert halls across the New River Valley.

  • Members must learn their music and sing fully to create a cohesive section and group sound.

  • Members are encouraged to sell tickets to share our BMC performances with friends, family, community members, and co-workers.

  • Our BMC Board of Directors is an amazing volunteer team made of choir members who make this chorus happen. Without them, BMC wouldn’t exist!
